CEWOOD Acoustic Panels achieve Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze certification

CEWOOD is a responsible and future-oriented business. The natural quality of the panels that it produces is one the company’s principal aims. This is why it intensively focuses on the manufacturing process, sourcing of raw materials and the life cycle of its products. As CEWOOD continues achieving the set goals, the business has been awarded the “Cradle to Cradle Certified®” Bronze certification for the Acoustic Panel range.

The product standard “Cradle to Cradle Certified®” means that the company’s products have been assessed in five categories: safety of materials, reuse of materials, consumption of renewable energy and carbon, water control and social responsibility. CEWOOD has successfully completed this rigorous certification procedure and has been awarded a Bronze Level certificate.

“Cradle to Cradle®” aims to replace the linear “cradle to grave” production principle —, where materials are often wasted without long-term preservation of natural resources, — with a “cradle to cradle” production principle where all cycles are based on sustainability and responsibility towards the environment, safe use of products and the possibility to recover them for high-quality reuse at the end of their life cycle.

CEWOOD is a Latvian company with a factory in Jaunlaicene, which produces wood shavings panels widely used around the globe.
